Our Executive Chef: Marcello Corrado

Quality, local excellence and extreme attention to detail

Marcello Corrado, born in 1979, is Neapolitan by birth. At the same time, his southern origins merge with the numerous experiences he has had around the Italian peninsula from north to south.

To please his mother, he studied Economics and Commerce and obtained a degree. He continued his career at a firm of chartered accountants. Having finally achieved this goal, he decided at the age of 26 to follow his true life’s passion: Italian cuisine.

To realize his dream, he resumed his studies at the most authoritative and famous ALMA school and then learned from famous multi-starred chefs.

Subsequently, he won the role of chef at the Casa del Nonno 13 restaurant in Salerno where he won the Michelin star, which he reconfirmed at the Osteria Perillà in Val d'Orcia.

Attracted by the world of wellness, he landed at Villa Eden, where he is entrusted not only with the role of Executive Chef but is tasked to create a new gourmet corner by unifying his experiences with healthy cuisine.

"I love to narrate the story of the territory through dishes, creating harmonic combinations that resonate with our guests’ emotions. I want to accompany them on a gastronomic experience based on a deep respect for sourced ingredients, seasonality and the combination of modern technology and local tradition."

Marcello Corrado

The collaboration and common objectives between our retreat and the chef led to the creation of the concept of Tasting Room, an oasis of culinary delights also open to guests who do not stay at Villa Eden.
